Underground Railroad Presentation In-Person

Did you know that Detroit was a center of the abolitionist movement and is an important site of the Underground Railroad? Not only were African Americans leaders in this movement, the fight against slavery is what helped to create the African American community in Detroit!

Join us as presenter Jamon Jordan teaches us about some of the homes and people in Oakland County who were a part of the Underground Railroad, and the events and places that were a part of the fight for freedom in Detroit.
