POSTPONED Irish Valuation Records In-Person

ALL MARCH 2020 PROGRAMS AT THE LYON TWP PUBLIC LIBRARY HAVE BEEN POSTPONED UNTIL FURTHER NOTICE. 
 

Griffith’s Valuation is a property tax survey carried out in the mid-1800’s under the supervision of Sir Richard Griffith. The survey involved the detailed valuation of every taxable piece of agricultural or built property on the island of Ireland and was published county-by-county between the years 1847 and 1864.

Cathy will show a case study of finding her McCarthy family in the Beara Peninsula of County Cork Ireland.
